From all the reviews and reports, Unbroken will follow suit. Ms. Hillenbrand met the central character of this book while working on Seabiscuit. Louis Zamperini, a runner in the 1936 Olympics, had a fascinating story to tell. The Germans invaded Poland shortly after those Olympics in Berlin, followed not long after by Pearl Harbor. Zamperini was drafted into the Army Air Corps and subsequently was captured by the Japanese. Zamperini's exeperiences were horrifying; no one could have imagined that man’s inhumanity to man could go so far. Broken and beaten, Zamperini had to make his way back into society and find his inner peace. This will be a big best-seller.
