Join us for a conversation with Cameron Kelly Rosenblum about her debut novel, The Stepping Off Place, a touching YA novel that explores themes of friendship, grief, and mental health.

Cameron Kelly Rosenblum grew up in Darien, Connecticut. She studied English literature at Kenyon College and earned a Master’s in Education at Lesley University. Her time as a teacher and children’s librarian inspired her to write for young people. The Stepping Off Place is her debut novel. Cameron lives near Portland, Maine with her husband, son, daughter, two dogs, and a cat.

Join us in support of  Waste Free Greenwich’s Save the Food Challenge with a cooking demo and discussion with  Lindsay-Jean Hard, IACP award-nominated author of Cooking with Scraps: Turn Your Peels, Cores, Rinds, and Stems into Delicious Meals. Lindsay-Jean will teach us how to transform often discarded food scraps into delicious and surprising culinary creations. Discover waste-reducing tips for storing and preparing meals. You can cook along with Lindsay-Jean as she creates a mouthwatering Carrot Top Pesto.

Cooking with Scraps grew out of the Author’s Food 52 column of the same name.  Lindsay-Jean received her Master’s in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan and currently works at the acclaimed Zingerman’s Bakehouse in Ann Arbor, where she shares her passion for great food, sustainability and community.
